I can't figure out how to put these
at the bottom of the post, so for the moment I'm scooting them down by typing. Editing 101.



The back hallway and most of the kitchen has been transformed from the sunny yellows to basic white. There is a temptation to do the final coats in the yellows again.


The hall was the color of a country egg yolk, a strong vibrant and earthy yellow.


The kitchen was lemon frosting yellow, slightly darker than easter yellow.





All the new flooring in stacked in the foyer while it acclimates. That was funny, calling the installer to set the date. I had to explain that I had to wait for the outside to warm up because I don't use heat on the inside. I didn't want to say I couldn't afford heat so I had to keep saying that I don't use it in the spring.


Part of the linoleum had to be pulled up, there had been awful roof leaks for many years that trickled down and saturated the floor. I knew it would be moldy but it was much worse than expected. The smell has made me sick for the past few days.
